Date(s) - 3rd November
10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Central location in Bristol (BS8)
Learning to be a safe and skilled Tantra practitioner requires awareness of many aspects, including trauma. This day is dedicated to increasing awareness of trauma and offers introductory guidance on what to do when it arises.
To lead this training, we welcome guest facilitator, Katie Sarra, of The Sea School of Embodiment.
She covers how trauma might manifest in a session, what to look out for, and offers guidance on how to keep someone safe.
KEY AREAS OF THE TRAUMA AWARENESS TRAINING
Throughout the day, Katie covers:
- Definitions of boundaries and how to work with consent
- The nervous system and brain structure responses to trauma (introductory level)
- What to do in relation to consent to keep people in their range of receptivity and agency
- How to stay with and keep a person safe when they’re “off line”
- How to support the person to come back into social engagement and attunement
- The importance of repair when there is a trauma response
- Guidance on how to repair
Key trauma terminology is covered (so that we have a base from which to speak about it).
This is an introductory and informative day, and will have a different format and feel to Tantra Massage Trainig practise sessions.
You will come away with a clearer understanding of trauma and have a foundation from which to develop your learning further.
